Reminiscing Today - 2009 - QFP-030
Emory Lester’s passion for colorful music shines brightly in this, his
finest work to date. Complete with his most creative compositions,
Emory’s strong, clear and lyrically inspired mandolin style sails
through each track, which features songs of full acoustic
instrumentation as well as solo mandolin, with two vocal performances by
Emory of Graem Miles ‘Shepherd on the Hill’ and Al Stewart’s ‘Timeless
Skies’.
Emory introduces the debut of his two sons, Justin and Josh, on bass and
guitar respectively, who joined their father on several original
instrumentals on this project. |

Acoustic Rising - 2006 - Bangtown CD3 Mark Johnson and Emory Lester have long been revered as roots music
super pickers. Here, with the follow up release to the highly praised
Acoustic Campaign project, we present them at their best. Johnson,
one of the finest Banjo stylists in the world and Lester, a mandolin
master and guitar great, combine their talents to create a project that
is urban and archaic, antiquated and modern. With their own takes on
traditional fiddle tunes, British Isle ballads and original
compositions, these two flat picking greats have created an emotion
filled CD. With high praises from Ricky Skaggs, who offers detailed
liner notes, along with the respect from the upper echelon of
traditional music players, it is easy to see how Acoustic Rising will
be a very important release for 2006. |

MARGIE - 2001 - PETE MILANO - Rhinestone Rooster Records
This project was recorded by Pete Milano & Shaw Brothers
Bluegrass Band. It contains a selection of songs that represent
the traditional Bluegrass sound that combines high energy, vocal
and instrumental ability, along with the spirit of the masters
who originated the music. Emory and Pete have worked together during the past 20 years but had never recorded together until this project. Emory's virtuosity
